Review: Cedel Dry Shampoo

If you asked me a year ago if I would use dry shampoo, I would probably have told you 'no way!'. I didn't believe this stuff would work. One day I feeling really lazy at home and I couldn't be bothered washing my hair (this happens quite often). I could feel the oil and grease building up. I took out a travel size Cedel shampoo my sis gave me a while ago and sprayed it in my hair. My fringe instantly looked normal again. I couldn't believe it! I thought to myself 'wow now I don't have to wash my hair as often' sounds gross but true lol.

This photo makes me look old, looks like I have a lot of greys. I usually just spray near or on the roots that's where my hair gets oily. You probably won't want to spray as much as I did, only because I wanted to make it show in photos.

Application: Spray the dry shampoo to the oily parts in your hair, leave it for 1-2mins so that it can soak up the oily goodness then brush out with a comb.

Additional info:
  • Made in Australia
  • RRP $7.99

 Pros:
  • Affordable
  • Convenient
  • Love the purple packaging
  • Leaves hair feeling clean

Cons:
  • The scent is too strong

Overall: I'm happy with this product and will buy again when this runs out. This product is very handy for travelling but it's not a replacement for washing your hair. Your hair is still dirty but just less noticeable.

  2. I use dry shampoo almost once every week, and I only wash my hair once a week now.

I use Batiste. They now have one for brunette hair, apparently it doesnt spray on with the white powder, so that one might be better for you and they also have a great range with nice scents =]

I also find dry shampoo gives me good volume, so sometimes I spray my roots with it for the volume even if my hair isnt that oily =]

  9. You can def get ones for brunette hair that sprays on dark. Also, I have heard that using plain old talcum powder on your hair will have the same effect as using dry shampoo. So unless you don't mind spending the money on something a bit more fancy and perfumed, just try talc! (I'm not gutsy enough to try this for myself yet haha!)

  11. I have tried the dry shampoo versions in the US but it didn't work very well on me, I probably sprayed it too close to the scalp...I will have to try it out again! First time visiting your blog, stopping by from the blog lover therapy. Would you like to follow each other?

  14. i'm just like you.. i don't really believe in this stuff either (haven't tried it yet). but my hair does get really oily and this might be nice for a midday touch up. does it leave white flakes though? i don't want to look like i have dandruff if yanno what i mean ;)

  15. It's great that the cedel dry shampoo works for you! I have it and it's useless. You should definitely give the Klorane dry shampoo a go, it is the BEST! Bit more expensive though but it's amazing and makes hair feel like it's actually been washed :)
