If you read my post on Ladurée, you would have known I went to IMATS in Sydney!!!! I've been looking forward to this event for a while. This was my first time going and I really didn't know what to expect. I had the weekend pass but only went on Saturday, I pretty much covered it in half a day (would be quicker but I waited a lot). I was a little disappointed that NYX wasn't there, I was sooo looking forward to finally getting their stuff.
Friday night we had KFC for dinner, they gave us a bunch of wet naps which I didn't end up using and I took it with me to IMATS in case I needed to clean my hands...SMARTEST idea ever!! lol I was swatching so much I had no room left on my hand, these KFC wet naps saved me from walking to the toilet - Tip #2 Bring wet towels!
List of what I bought:

- MUFE HD Aqua Shadow
- MUFE flat steel palette
- Inglot Lipstick 259 - This colour washes me out, looked nice swatched on my hand

- 3 Beauty Pods - These guys are very cute, it was 1 for $10 or 3 for $24
So there you go, hope you enjoyed my post. I would have loved to taken more photos but couldn't get any more decent looking photos. I'm hoping next year, I can go to IMATS again and stay longer in Sydney. I've always wanted to visit the Blue Mountains but timing has been always off.
I'm getting my new camera this weekend!!!!!! Hopefully my photos will be better quality and I can post more photos for you guys!

ReplyDeleteSuch a shame that it wasn't as good as you imagined though. I went to Salon Melbourne earlier this year and spent too much money. They did have a huge Nyx stand though!
I missed Salon Melbourne, infact i didnt even know it was on lol Are they on every year?

I only bought a few things...my tip: have a list handy and to do this, make sure you do your research on the exhibitors that will be there. ;) Learned that the last time and this was my 2nd time there. Yeah you get better each time. No wasting time on browsing. I was disappointed that NYX wasn't there too. Love their stuff. But I know there's a store in Melbourne Central that sells their stuff. Going to check that out this Sunday.

I missed out on IMATS this year, but last year I went I had to wait a good 30 mins just to PAY at the MUFE couter - it was crazy! Glad you grab a good bunch of stuff. And tip #3 is definitely very important! ;)
ReplyDeleteOoooo that event looks awesome...reminds me of a show I watch called "Face-Off", it's really cool... aw those pods look so cute, they sell them from Korea and China for like £0.99p on eBay, that's where I usually stock up on random make-up supplies :-)
