According to MUFE "The HD Foundation is an oil-free medium-to-full coverage liquid foundation which covers skin imperfections, while remaining invisible on-screen and in real life. Its extremely fine texture is supple and easy to apply. Enriched with moisturizing agents, it leaves the skin soft and radiant. It is available in a wide range of shades to suit all skin tones".
Additional info:

What I like:
- It covers without clogging pores
- Lasts up to 7hrs on me
- Feels quite comfortable and light on the skin

- Great packaging with the pump - releases just enough product
What I dislike:
I found this foundation hard to blend into the skin and really accentuates drier areas of your face. I tried to apply this foundation with a brush as well as my fingers but I found that none of it really worked for me. It looked really dull on my skin and didn't at all improve the appearance of my skin texture. Initially the first 2-3 weeks of using it, I felt like the foundation kept sticking around the dry patches. One day (being last week lol), I decided to exfoliate my face with my usual mask the Clinique turnaround facial just before applying the foundation, just to see if it made a difference. Let me tell you this, it made a HUGE difference by exfoliating and slapping on a bunch of my Shiseido day time moisteriser!! The foundation went on so much smoother and it didn't emphasize any dry patches. So if you have dry skin either exfoliate or use a lot of moisturiser or do both.
Overall: To be honest, I think it's a pain having to exfoliate every time right before I use the foundation to get the best results of out this foundation. I probably will not be buying this again unless my skin condition miraculously improves. I haven't tried this product with a beauty blender but I have read that it works pretty well with it. This product will suit someone with combination to oily skin. I guess it's one of those things, you either love it or hate it.
Have you tried MUFE HD Foundation? Love it? Hate it?

I didn't realise this foundation is so hard to blend! I've heard so many glowing reviews of it. Thanks for the review! I'm glad I didn't buy this foundation hastily. :)
ReplyDeleteMe too, soo many youtubers rave on about it.
DeleteThanks for the review! I've heard so many people raving about it that I had pretty high expectations too, but recently, I haven't heard that great things about it.
ReplyDeleteYeah it is annoying to have to exfoliate before putting it on.
I'm like in a lazy phase right now so I don't exfoliate as often as i should and when i use this, it's so yuckky!
Deleteoh, thanks for your review on this! :)
ReplyDeletethis has been on my "to try" list forever.
i don't particularly have dry skin but i do see dry patches sometimes. i mean exfoliation is important but who has time to do it right before applying foundation?
Agree Lena! It was on my list for ages too but hey i'm sure it works great on other people just not me.
DeleteThis is the second review I've read on how the foundation clings onto dry patches of skin! I agree with you and have a feeling that this foundation is best for those with oily/combination skin! Shame that the foundation disappointed you though :( And it is such a bother to exfoliate all the time too!
ReplyDeleteHey Karen, I think it could be also due to the weather. Spring gives me a lot of skin allergies. I know!! Atleast I got it a bit cheaper than the rrp, makes me feel a little beter.
DeleteHi I just found your blog! I think is amazing, I love your stye and your pics!
ReplyDeleteI start to follow you come on my blog and follow me too, if you want :)

I haven't tried it but some foundations do need exfoliation which I too, think it's a pain. But I really wanna try the Matte formula from MUFE.

Yeah it could be because my skin has dry patches. The lady at the counter did tell me it's not really suited for ppl with dry skin but i went ahead with it anyway lol
DeleteI feel the same way with MUFE's matt velvet version!
ReplyDeleteOhh! I havent tried that one! Such a shame
DeleteI've been wanting to try out their foundations for a while - I'm SO jealous you went to IMATS as I missed out this year!
ReplyDeleteI'm your newest follower - can't wait to see more of your gorgeous photos. Would love if you could stop by mine sometime too.
Hey Jessi, sure thing checking it out now. IMATS was awesome, you should definitely go next year.
DeleteI have dry skin so this product doesn't sound like it will suit my skin type. I do love makeup forever products though.

Oh, great review! I think this might suit me quite well as I have oily-combination skin!
ReplyDeleteYou're right, it does have rather a great rep so it's a little disappointing that it didn't work too well for you.
