NOTD: Sportsgirl Ballerina

Happy Monday!!! Last week when I went back to my parents place, I was digging through my stuff that I left behind. I found this Sportsgirl nail polish in my room, never used. Amazingly it was still perfectly good to use even after like 2 yrs sitting there lol I'm sure most of you ladies can tell by the old Sportsgirl packaging.

This was about 2-3 coats
I like to use a base and top coat, it can last up to a week before it starts chipping.

This is my first nail post and probably my last too. This topic is too intense for me, im such a newbie at painting my nails, takes me 50million years just to get it right.

Have you ladies got any tips on how to avoid smudging your nails?

Don't forget to enter my giveaway here, closes this Wednesday!!

Thanks for reading!

Glossybox - March!

What's in my March Glossybox???

My March box contained:

1. Eau Thermale Avene (cleansing milk & toner) - Avene's acclaimed thermal spring water, found in these products, proves remarkable at hydrating and refreshing.

2. The Body Shop (chocomania body butter) - Let this heavenly body butter melt into your skin with its community fair trade ingredients that sooth in a conscious way.

3. Thin Lizzy (concealer creme) - Cover up minor or major skin imperfections for all day coverage with this concealer creme.

4. Klorane (hair product) - Extra-gentle dry shampoo with oat milk.

5. Power balancing bracelet - suppose to support strength and flexibility.

Overall, I like this months box. Everything in here, I would definitely use. I can't wait to try the concealer. Believe it or not, I actually don't own or use concealer. Glossybox included one of those balancing bracelet, I just don't see how it can help improve flexible and strength by wearing a plastic bracelet.

Do you think these balancing bracelet really works or is it just a fad?

Curling my hair!!

Happy Monday everyone!!!

I have very fine, straight, boring hair. When I go out I see girls with voluminous hair that always look natural and bouncy! I am soo jealous!!! I started to experiment with my GHD straightener 2yrs ago to try to get that voluminous look. In this post, I wanted to show you guys how I curl my hair. This is the first time I've posted about my hair.

Before attempting to curl your hair, always use a good heat serum or protective spray. Today I used  Heat Tamer Protective Spray from TRESemmé.

I always start off curling the lower section of my hair first. Tie up the upper section so it doesn't get in the way.
Then split the bottom section of hair in half.

Take a small section of hair, take the GHD clamp it against the hair (5cm from your roots), twist the GHD about half turn (towards or away from you) as you continue pulling through your hair. The thicker the section is, the looser the curl will be. The slower you go the smaller the curls will be.

Don't worry about stuffing it up, wait for your hair to cool down a bit and try again.

Take the next section and repeat rotating the GHD.

After all the bottom section is done, it should look something like this.

Now start working on the top section. Take out your hair and tie up about half of the top section.
Start curling the side that hasn't been tied up using the same motion as before.

Finished!! This is what it should look like! To maintain curls make sure you use some mousse or hairspray.

I've had my GHD for around 3 years now and this baby is still working like I just got it. Recently, I was on www.ghdhair.com/au/ and found out they had limited edition - Peacock collection that came out! Looks pretty awesome! I'm sure most of you ladies would know already, I'm a bit behind sometimes lol If I had extra cash flow, I wouldn't mind getting the purple peacock! Someone should buy it for me!!!

How do you style your hair for a night out?

Weekend: Sakura Lounge & Moomba!

Happy Sunday!!!!! Us Melbournians have a long weekend, tmr is a public holiday!!! Today we went for a relaxing massage at Sakura Lounge & then off to Moomba! The front entrance of Sakura Lounge looks kinda seedy lol They are quite busy and the only booking they had 2 weeks ago was for 10am today. We picked the couples package which consisted of 30min foot massage, 1hr body massage and 1hr facial. During the foot massage, they give you japanese tea and a mochi, since B is not a fan of sweet foods I took the honour of finishing his too. Mochi's are so delish! Foot massage was awesome, loved it. Body massage was alright, I still love the massages from Thailand. Facial was good, they even massage my face and shoulders. What I didn't like was the smell of the oil they used and I went out for the rest of the day with a greasy face.

The massage went for over 2.5hrs by the time we got out B was starving so we went next door to the Korean restaurant and got korean BBQ.
After lunch we headed to Moomba! I walked past these girls who won these huge ass sheeps and so cute too so I told B I wanted one. The next 30mins we walked around looking for one of those game stands with the sheep. I think we spent like 30bucks on different games trying to win the sheep. Finally, we found a game where you try to throw a plastic ball into a bucket and we GOT IT!!!!!! My victory pose with my new Sheep called Sheepy lol Oh yes this is the first photo which shows my face..woo hoo!

After we got the sheep, we were drained so decided to go home and rest a little. At 6ish we headed back to Moomba to try out these curly potato things? I had chicken salt sprinkled over my twisty potato, it was yum but I don't think I could eat it again anytime soon, too fatty for me.

I love corn!
These churros were so tasty, melts in your mouth.

This is the end of my Sunday.... probably watch some tv before going to bed, my legs are killing me from all the walking today. My post are getting longer and longer.. it only means one thing I'm rambling!

Soo.. how much money did you spend to win a toy from a festival?

Thanks for reading!

Weekend: Hedgend Maze!

Happy Tuesday!!! Last weekend, B and I went to one of those outdoor mazes called Hedgend Maze. We found this place through the Entertainment book (trying to maximise the vouchers). If you look at the maze on the map, it looks huge but when you're actually there it's not. The girl said it would take an average person 30mins from start to finish, it took us 5 mins!!! LOL I drove 1.5hrs to go through a 5min maze!

Entrance to the maze

Quick snap of B walking in

The view from the look out tower

They had a 18 hole mini golf course. We made a bet, loser draws on the winners back and guess who won??
They also had Frisbee golf where you try to aim the frisbee at the flag pole. Wow my hair sure looks long from here, can't wait til after the wedding then I can get a fringe!

As you can see I was a little disappointed lol I was expecting some huge ass maze. Don't get me wrong this is a great place for kids, I just think I'm a little too old to enjoy it.

How was your weekend?

LUSH BB Seaweed Fresh Face Mask

Last Friday, I stopped by Lush to check out if they got any fresh mask in stock, managed to pick up BB Seaweed. Usually, I get Love Lettuce but noticed their consistency gets a little too thick for me and I can't get it to stick to my face!

According to the Lush website BB Seaweed Fresh Mask is "Relaxing and reviving, mineral-rich mask to cleanse, soften and beautify all skins. This blend, inspired by the sea, contains fresh and nutritious seaweed and seaweed absolute. Cleansing kaolin, antiseptic honey, calming aloe vera and rose absolute make this a great mask for everyone."

Lush masks are super easy to apply. What you can do is use a clean utensil (spoon or whatever but I used my hands coz I'm lazy lol), apply it all over face except eye area then leave it for around 10mins, wash off the mask using circular motion with your hands. They have an expiry date of 2 weeks. I usually try to buy it around the time they were made so I can use it for longer. Don't forget to keep it in the fridge otherwise you'll end up with a tub of mold lol

RRP $15.95/75g - It's pretty good for this price, usually I can use it for 4 times - roughly about $3.99 each time!

Overall: I do like this masks, cleanses and detoxifies - leaves skin feeling fresh and soft!

I'm always open to trying other products, what face mask do you use?
